Donald R. Proctor
Founder and CEO
Don Proctor has over 25 years of experience in the Silicon Valley technology sector. As a senior executive at Cisco Systems, Inc., he led 3 separate businesses to over $1B in annual revenue. In addition to network access products, telecom carrier infrastructure, VoIP, WebEx, and software development, Proctor led Cisco’s cybersecurity initiative working with government leaders around the world.
An advisor to the US Congress, the White House, the European Commission and the European Parliament, and other government agencies, Proctor has spent the past 8 years advising lawmakers, defense agencies, and the intelligence community on technology policy issues.
He serves as a trustee on the board of the Computer History and on the national board of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He currently chairs the advisory board at the Lawrence Hall of Science, and is a member of the advisory board for the College Promise Campaign. He currently serves as CEO of the Center for Cisco Heritage, and advises CEOs of other startup companies in the technology sector.
Proctor teaches on innovation, strategy, and operations in the graduate programs at the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, the UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology, and in the University of San Francisco Silicon Valley Immersion program.
